At Grizzly Cycles, a husband-and-wife team, we now offer appointment-based bike servicing. Book online, bring your bike for a full assessment, and expect a 2-4 day turnaround. Parts may require deposits and longer wait times.
Interested in a custom bike? Start with a $100 non-refundable deposit to discuss your vision. We’ll then order parts then build your dream bike. Labor ranges from $350-$450, excluding extra services like wheel builds.

Thanks for stopping by. You're probably here because you're curious about what's currently in stock at our small-but-mighty shop in Bakersfield. But here’s the honest truth: you’re not going to find that kind of real-time inventory listed here. Why? Because we’re busy doing what we do best—fixing bikes, helping folks gear up, and staying connected to our community.
Our inventory turns over fast, and keeping a constantly updated online list just isn’t realistic. What we can tell you is this: we’ve got bikes, and we’ve got gear—carefully chosen for real riders who value quality and adventure. From commuter setups to full-blown bikepacking rigs, we keep the shelves stocked with thoughtfully selected bags, racks, tools, and accessories.
Sometimes we even get one-off handmade stuff that you won’t find anywhere else.
But at the end of the day, our focus is helping you get the most out of the bike you already ride. Whether it’s brand new or older than your favorite trail shoes, we’ll keep it rolling smooth—without the attitude.
-Repairs: Now by Appointment-
We’re shifting to an appointment-based system for repairs—and it's all about faster turnarounds and less chaos for everyone.
Scheduling ahead helps us stay efficient and gives your bike the focused time it deserves. Walk-ins are still welcome for quick adjustments if we’ve got the bandwidth, but major repairs now need an appointment. It’s the best way to make sure we’re not juggling too many bikes and can turn yours around quicker.
No, we still don’t do estimates over the phone or internet. Your bike has to be in the stand for us to know what’s what. You can peep our labor rates here, but the real talk happens in person.
Be on time, bring your bike clean(ish), and we’ll handle the rest. And as always—this isn’t meant to ruffle feathers. Just setting the baseline so we’re all on the same page.
-We Don't Work on Motorized Bikes-
If your bike or scooter or Franken-rig has a motor (gas), we won't touch it—not even to fix a flat. After years of trying, we’ve learned it just isn’t a fit for us. Nothing personal. Just boundaries.
-Bottom Line-
Grizzly Cycles is just the two of us—a husband-and-wife team doing our best to keep bikes rolling and riders stoked. We're not a warehouse or a faceless online retailer. We're your neighbors, your mechanics, and fellow riders who care deeply about the folks who walk through our door.
If you need something—parts, a bike, advice, or just a solid recommendation—come by the shop.
Let’s talk, laugh, and get your ride dialed in.
