The Buena Vista Overnighter: An Invitation to Ride, Camp, and Connect
At Grizzly Cycles, we believe bikes aren't just machines—they're vessels for freedom, connection, and joy. They're how we slow down, get closer to nature, and rediscover the small magic tucked right into our backyard. That’s why we’re inviting you to join us on a ride that’s not about speed, gear, or prestige—it’s about people, stories, and the kind of quiet you can only find outside city lights.
On Saturday, July 26th, we’re heading out for the Buena Vista Overnighter: a free, beginner-friendly bikepacking trip designed for anyone curious about what it means to ride into the golden hour and sleep under the stars.
This ride is:
- Welcoming to all skill levels—especially if you’ve never bikepacked before
- A chance to learn by doing (we’ll help you figure out gear and setup)
- Rooted in community and shared adventure
We’ll roll out from the shop at 6:00 PM, stoke high and tires aired, and roll through the outskirts of town toward Buena Vista. It's a gentle route—not just physically, but emotionally. No egos, no gatekeeping. Just a bunch of folks riding bikes toward a shared destination and a night around the fire.
Once we arrive, we’ll settle in, set up camp, and let conversation flow. Expect trail snacks, gear show-and-tell, and stories that sound better in the glow of the fire. Maybe someone’s trying out a brand-new sleep system. Maybe someone’s just here to see if adventure feels like home.
Buena Vista Lake has a quiet kind of charm—especially in the cool of night. And if you’ve never slept outside with your bike nearby, this is your chance to discover the magic: the hum of tires at sunset, the warmth of shared meals and beverages, the way adventure feels bigger when it's shared.
All event details, packing advice, and questions are happening over on our Grizzly Cycles Discord. That’s the best place to check in, ask questions, and get real-time support from folks who’ve done it before.
This overnighter is more than a ride—it’s a reminder that adventure doesn’t require plane tickets or Instagram sponsorships. It just needs curiosity, community, and a willingness to say “yes” to something new.
If your bike’s calling for something a little different, something a little wilder—this is it.
